I was amused yesterday at the Chinese New Year dinner because, lo and behold, Chinese New Year scene in Naomi Novik's Throne of Jade.
First fumblings with chopsticks = much snickering =D
Laurence was embarrassed to see, when he glanced over, that Roland and Dyer were having not the least difficulty with their chopsticks and were already round-cheeked from stuffing food into their mouths.

He himself had only just managed to get a piece of the beef to his mouth by dint of puncturing it with one of his sticks [...]

Decent Chinese food, how I miss you so ;_;

Gacked from benebu:

Name a character from one of my fandoms and I'll give you
(a) three facts about him/her from my personal canon/fanon,
(b) a reason s/he sucks,
(c) a reason s/he is awesomecakes,
(d) five things that never happened to that character,
(e) five people s/he never fell in love with and why, (or the usual 4 + 1 configuration)
ETA 06/19/09:
(f) the title of his/her autobiography or biography,
(g) the last dream or nightmare s/he had, OR
(h) how s/he will shuffle off the mortal coil, if it hasn't happened in canon.

You pick the character. I pick the letter.

My fandoms: Harry Potter, Merlin, Good Omens, Star Trek: XI, Smallville, Full Metal Alchemist, Calvin & Hobbes, etc.

Three facts about Aziraphale from my personal canon/fanon

1) Aziraphale can read books as fast as he can physically turn pages*. However, he chooses to read at human speed** while occasionally sipping from a teacup.

2) There are many benefits to the apparent age of his mortal body. In addition to exuding a non-threatening presence, he never had to discourage interested*** suitors.

3) When Aziraphale inevitably mastered the Internet, he never had to deal with pop-ups, ads, spam and lags****. His favourite thing to do online is searching for out-of-print books.

* The fastest possible speed without igniting the pages.
** That is, at a leisurely pace.
*** Blatant sexual interest, which often happens to Crowley at most inopportune moments.
**** Despite the fact that his computer had no modem or Wi-fi in any shape or form.
