"Albus Severus, eat your vegetables." Harry forced himself to sound calm.

The six-year-old scrunched up his face at the mangled carrots on his plate.

Next to him, James spooned carrots into his mouth with an exaggerated blissful expression. He then turned large, I'm-such-a-good-son, hazel eyes to his mother.

Albus set down his fork, the corners of his mouth turned down.

"These are from Grandma's garden."

"...yes?"

"I saw her dig out the carrots, roots and all. It's not right!"

Harry thought he'd regret asking, but--"Why is it not right?"

"Well without their roots they’re going to die! We're killing helpless plants just to put them on our plates!"

Next to him, Ginny whispered, "Remind me to never tell him that beef comes from cows."

Remember those old skool H/D fics, where the boys get into a not-quite-healthy relationship (because everything's so intense and so quick), and Lucius and/or Narcissa intervenes and pulls Draco out of school, and everyone around Harry is not-so-secretly relieved, and Harry soldiers on, only half-living his life?

So OotP rang the death knoll for those, but now we can relive it again through AS/S!

I'm having so much fun writing different permutations of Scorpius. Atm I have at least three, ahaha. It's harder to write different Albuses though--I keep on getting stuck with his stupid parents.

This icon pretty much sums up my feelings on JKR's treatment of Harry and Draco. Draco = James = Ginny = loud bullies who's the center of his/her friends' attention.

Harry/Ginny's too Oedipal for my taste. If Rowling had Harry and Ginny bonding over being possessed by the Dark Lord, I would've bought the pairing. But she didn't, so DO NOT WANT.

James...I don't dislike him as much as Sirius. But sorry James, if you have lived Harry would've been a more gigantic prat. So I'm glad you died.

Draco...I find all his "My Father" posturing/insecurity too bloody cute <3 Also Draco/Pansy is so much a poser couple that I just find them endearing X-D

Luna is possibly the only canon female character that I like, aside from Narcissa. I liked Hermione until she pulled that centaur thing on Umbridge. I liked Ginny until she said "I've always loved you, Harry *limpid eyes*" I liked Tonks until she moped around in HBP not because O HAI her cousin DIED but because Lupin spurned her one true love OMG.

...anyway, there's only Luna left. It helps that the actress that plays Luna made her look like Lucius Malfoy's love-child lolol.

So someone left a rant-y "review" to one of the F-list saying Scorpius/Rose will never happen "because there is too much blood feud between the Weasley and the Malfoy family" (all typed in CAPSLOCK).
Note: the reviewer ships a non-canonical het ship that has been debunked--and meanly laughed at--by Rowling during interviews, so reviewer is not only stupid and rude, but also a hypocrite.

Anyway there was much WTFLOLlery over at said friend's LJ. The comments made me think of Ron/Draco and Scorpius/Rose.

Although I ship H/D, from early on I recognize the parallels between Malfoy/Weasley and Montague/Capulet. (Which is why although Ron does come across as heterosexual to me, I love reading Ron/Draco X-D)

Take away SuperMagical!Harry, and you have your regular schoolboy stand-off between Ron and Draco going:

Ron: "My Dad is better than yours."
Draco: "Oh yeah? well we're richer than you, and your mother's fat."
Ron: "D:< You take that back, ferret!111"
Draco: "Shut up Weasel, you stink!"
Snogging and wall!sex scuffling and fistfight: *ensue*

Plus! Scorpius/Rose totally sounds like the name of a rock band! =D

And Scorpius/Rose can totally exist in the same story as Albus Severus/Scorpius! Because Scorpius has to work out his bisexuality first.
At first Draco grudgingly accepted that Rose is a nice, sensible kid considering who her parents are. Ron wouldn't admit it, but he thinks Scorpius is v. polite considering that he's a Malfoy.

But then their relationship is too sedate because both Scorpius and Rose are serious and calm.
In the meantime, Albus Severus languished in the background for his love that will never be O:

Until one day, Al got drunk and attack-snogged Scorpius!

Scorpius: "WTF mate?!111"
Albus Severus: *snogs again*
Scorpius: *thinks* Hey, this isn't so bad "But what about your cousin and my--Mmmmph..."

Rose gets heart-broken, but then realized her feelings to Scorpius was more of a crush borne out of friendship.

And then we have the first Wizarding gay marriage ever! Harry and Draco become sorta in-laws! >=D Which totally squicks them because they're having a secret affair behind their wives' back because their sons look so much like them.
