It's been 1.25 year since my last drabble meme, and I'm inspired by somigliana and gelsey to do another one of sorts.

Give me a character and a fairy tale/folklore. The first 10 people who respond get a drabble/flopsy/ficlet/fic (because I'm unpredictable that way).
In return, they have to rec me a post-DH/alternate-DH/AU fic where Snape lives. Snape doesn't have to be the main character, as long as he lives/cheats death. Self-plugs are totally fine. And no, Snarry doesn't count.

I'll write for Harry Potter, Good Omens, Smallville, Fruits Basket/Furuba and Full Metal Alchemist . Or choose from one of my original WIPs (Angels Abide, santa_olivia or Ephemeral Garden)--an explanation of what they're about will be provided if requested.

(BTW, no need to request Draco & Rapunzel and Harry & Bluebeard because those are already in the works.)

1. People sometimes accuse me of "gliding." Plebeians. It's a pity that people no longer take deportment lessons.

2. I surreptitiously check my food for poison every time I eat in public. It's this handy little spell that Severus came up with. That boy will go places with his enormous talent. It is to my advantage that nobody else seems to realize this yet.

3. I have different black velvet ribbons for different occasions. Each has a different set of runes and spells woven into the fabric. My dorm mates assumed that I was just being fastidious about my appearance.

4. Whenever I brush against woolen robes, my skin gets...itchy. There's a valid reason why I insist on the highest thread count for my cotton bed sheets at Hogwarts.

5. People sometimes call me Lucifer behind my back. This adds to my fearsome reputation, and it pleases me greatly. Weasley calls me Lucy and for that he must die.

6. I always leave behind some of my favorite dishes. It wouldn't do to make it easy for people to poison me. Furthermore, gluttony is unattractive both for gentlemen and ladies.

7. I love my new snake cane. I have fantasies of whacking squaling Weasley brats with it.

What I wanted to share with you though, is this fantasticrackilicious BoyWhoLived!Draco plotbunny courtesy of ruien, ( in which Lucius raised Draco up to be the next Dark Lord )

So Draco Malfoy was secretly Sirius Black's underage lover, and he was being all angsty in the library of Malfoy Manor because he couldn't see his cousin, who was confined at Grimmauld Place.

In comes Snape with his black robes whipping behind him, telling Draco that "the fool Black" had gone to the Department of Mysteries and fell into the Veil.

Draco shed a perfect teardrop. Snape tried to console him.

Sixth Year happened. Voldemort (who's now all pretty and young again thanks to some awesome elixir Snape brewed up) loved to taunt Draco about Sirius, Lucius and Narcissa.

Seventh Year. War, blah blah blah. Harry was going to hold Draco's wand ransom until Draco would agree to shag him. To his consternation, Draco could not be found anywhere.

One day, Harry was ogling pretty figure skaters on TV when he noticed that the slim French Canadian skater had the same Sectusempra scars that Draco had.

The site has a series of flash tutorials where a native speaker repeat phrases and words that you hear in everyday conversations. It's v. v. repetitive, which is v. helpful for language retention *g*

Torn between his selfish cowardice and family's pride, Draco finds himself alone on a battlefield and has nowhere else to turn; and Harry has to learn that sometimes you don't put up walls to keep other people out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.

Snape is an unmitigated bastard (go Snape!), Draco's v. much the product of his spoiled and pampered childhood, Harry's almighty slow in the uptake, just like canon. Hah!

Featuring besottedfather!Lucius, horse!Animagus, unicorn at Malfoy Manor, middle-income!Pansy, Harry/Narcissa, and GUH Tom Riddle.

Thankfully, ever since the alihotsy incident, I had always carried a self-replenishing water flask with me. I looked into my bag of personally blended tea. I estimated that it would only last me eight days. This blend of wormwood and nutmeg infusion had, on numerous occasions, prevented me from slipping aconite into the students’ pumpkin juice. Considering my present situation, I would very much like to have my afternoon tea for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I transfigured some loose stones into bread rolls. Biting into one, I grimaced. It tasted of sand. I had not misread my wand’s warped magical signature. Had a Gryffindor been in my place, he would have splinched himself in an attempt to Apparate. Sighing, I transfigured my overcoat into a threadbare sleeping bag and went to sleep on the sand.
