I'm all caught up with Merlin 2X06 now. Arthur's neatly brushed (combed?) bangs under his crown in 2X06 makes me want nerd!Arthur fics.

1. Sorority Boys -- with Merlin, Arthur and Will. Arthur/Ann clearly must be Adam/Adina, with his complex about his/her fat ass arse >=D
Will is the stoner eternal senior who takes crossdressing in stride.
Morgana is the nearsighted sorority president, because Katie McGrath wearing glasses IS CANON. Gwen is going to beat Merlin up (or get Lancelot to beat Merlin up) when she realized Merlin had been taking showers with Morgana =O

Sir Leon can be the sleazy scumbag loser who roofied Arthur/Ann.
Cedric is the guy who stole the fraternity's money and blame Merlin.

Uther hitting on Merlin on the yatch = BONUS because he's always thought Arthur's friend isn't quite right in the head.

2. Hors de prix/Priceless -- with Merlin as the golddigger Irene and Arthur as the hotel barman Jean. Merlin mistook Arthur as a millionaire and put the moves on him. Arthur went along with the charade, fell for Merlin, etc.

A year later, the two met again at the same hotel. It's Merlin's birthday and he's had a cozy arrangement with Uther for three years now. Uther caught Merlin cheating with Arthur, Merlin threw his lot in with Arthur only to realize that he's the help AHAHAHAHAHA.

Merlin moved on to Lancelot (du Lac sr. just croaked, leaving his massive wealth to Lancelot). Arthur wouldn't give up on Merlin and ended up being Lady Helen's boy toy so he can continue going on dates with Merlin.

I stopped watching the movie at this point so IDK what happened next, haha.

3. I'm kinda tempted to claim Bluebeard over at tobreakthespell. For some reason I can't think of any happy fairy tales that match the Merlin fandom =S (that hasn't already been claimed, that is.)

2. Only wrote my primary assignment for remixthedrabble and none of my secondary ones because I suck that way =(
I knew which part & what pov I want to remix, but I just can't bring myself to put down even one line D:

3 a. Rewatched extended LotR yesterday. I used to be all about Aragorn and Legolas, but yesterday it was Froooodooo and Karl Urbaaaan Eomeeeer. Was briefly tempted to look for Aragorn/Frodo, but quashed the worrying tendency immediately.

3 b. Kept on going, "Ooh, sophinisba's icon of cute round-eyed hobbit kid!" and "sophinisba's icon of Merry opening his arms wide," etc.

P.S. Still not reading the F-list, sorry ^^;;

P.P.S. Any Choirboy AU LotR fanfics out there?

1. I dreamt I was Hikaru Sulu (the John Cho version, except even more kickass), and I was fighting T-1000 with my BARE FISTS. T-1000 first took on Chekov's appearance, then Hikaru's appearance.
Wrong crossover, brain. I'm still waiting for a Merlin-related dream!

2. It was interesting to watch Star Trek with Japanese voice acting.

Spock's voice = the straight-laced, class president type who's quiet, serious, and perfect in every way. With hidden depths (or secret, endearing vice)! Sometimes with bonus hot geek glasses.
Like Death Note's Light/Raito pre-psychosis, basically. Or like Kare Kano's Soichiro Arima, minus the weakling appearance.

Kirk's voice = the happy-go-lucky youngster who just. Never. Gives. Up. And is inexplicably loved by everyone, friend and foe alike. Have the devil's own luck.
In other words, the main character of every single shounen anime out there. But nowhere as whiny as Naruto, dear lord.

Bones' voice = the laid back old guy who drinks sake and is vaguely lecherous/flirtatious to everyone, esp. their subordinates. Usually the mentor/teacher figure to the main character. And always turns out to have a dark, tragic past.
Like that pink flower kimono + straw hat-wearing captain in Bleach.

Uhura's voice = the straight-laced heroine who has Clear Views regarding Justice. Hates bullies and will fight them to protect the weak. Usually admires/has a crush on the class president, or is a class president herself.
Like lots of Hayao Miyazaki's heroines.

I was so disappointed by Sulu's voice, because he just has a generic voice. The you'll-only-see-me-in-two-episodes-max voice T_T

Yesterday morning I dreamt I was Sylar, who was transported into an alternate universe where AU!Sylar is all respected & loved & made entirely out of fluffy bunnies, kittens & squishy pink hearts.

Sylar decided to go along with the adulation of the AU!masses. There's this v. sick little boy who's all adorable and wears glasses and may or may not bear some resemblance to Shadow of the Templar's Nate & Final Fantasy: Advent Children's Michael.

I knew Sylar had a vague evil(?) masterplan, but for some reason he decided to donate his bone marrow (?!111) to this adorable little boy. I Sylar was in pain when the nurse/doctor/illegal underground activist took his bone marrow, but he stayed stoic and all the children were like "Sylar. We love you *_* You're our hero."

AU!Mohinder's an Evil Manipulative Person who may or may not be using AU!Sylar's latent homosexuality confused feelings toward his own end. AU!Sylar obv. does not have all the awesome superpowers that canon!Sylar has.

I woke up before I found out what Sylar!me's dastardly plan was.

If only I had dreamt about Spock. (When I watch Heroes, I usually only watch the Hiro and Andoh scenes!)

I need a plot device for Merlin (15 y.o.) and Arthur (18 y.o.) to meet each other. Not sure if it's plausible for two perfect strangers, totally unrelated to each other, to meet in a wedding (bride's party v. groom's party). Hm. Also, have zero idea of British wedding customs, obv.

Aaand, if it's a wedding, wouldn't Hunith and Uther be there too? O_o (I suppose I can explain it as Merlin being Gwen's date and Uther being V. V. Important & Busy over in Singapore or something.)

Ron would never admit this to anyone, not Harry and certainly not Hermione, but when he was ten he wrote a letter asking for admission to Durmstrang.

He never did send the letter. When the twins scared him with Giant Squid stories, he would picture that letter, tucked away in a chest under his bed with his old teddy.

Once sorted into Gryffindor, he forgot all about the letter until the Durmstrang delegation arrived for the Triwizard tournament.

He wouldn't trade his friendship with Harry for anything, but just imagine: he could've gone to the same school as Viktor Krum!

Arthur was a good student who didn’t give the staff any trouble. Except for his Literature teacher.

On Tuesdays, Merlin always wore long jackets, because Arthur would be right there with his pouty lips and pen-biting.

Today, Arthur had stayed behind and ambushed Merlin with a kiss. Of course, the headmaster just happened to wander by.

Lifting guilty hands from Arthur’s shoulders—to push him away, not clutch him closer—Merlin contemplated throwing himself out the midget-sized window.

“What is the meaning of this?”

As I mused to sophinisba earlier: I think my AU love stems from my fascination with the idea of time travel, parallel worlds and reincarnation ever since I was a wee child watching Quantum Leap. Or possibly earlier than that.

This blue-eyed stranger who walked to him and introduced himself as Arthur ("My Merlin. I've been looking for you for entire lifetimes") with a fond, intimate look in his eyes.

This golden-haired man who spoke of destinies intertwined ("Our love transcends all time; we've seen seas rising, and we’ll see the earth breaking apart") with a solemn expression on his face.

This young man who gave him pretty words ("You'll always be my Merlin, and I'll always be your Arthur") delivered through warm breath and soft kissable lips.

Merlin desperately wanted to believe him.

A/N: Deliberate grammar mistakes are deliberate. Not sure if this structure works; feels a bit clunky to me.

P.S. This isn't the one with the summary: Arthur thought he had found his Merlin, but did he? Meanwhile, "Merlin" didn't seem to be gaining his memories anytime soon.
Still writing that one, albeit at a doped up snail's pace.

Suddenly made me see two of the characters in terms of Maya's HPverse.

2 b. I'm not the only crazy fan who contemplated the possibility of a TDL/FMA x-over/pastiche, yeah? Just think: homunculus, the philosopher's stone and automail in TDL-verse. *whimpers at the thought of Alan outfitted with automail*

2 c. There are ENDLESS pairing possibilities between Nick/Alan/Mae/Jamie. Nick/Alan, Nick/Mae, Alan/Mae, Nick/Mae/Alan, Nick/Jamie, Alan/Jamie, Nick/Alan/Jamie...you catch my drift.

3 a. Love how the second and third book will come out in 2010 and 2011 YESSSS \o/
3 b. This would mean me spending $45+ every year for the series. (~$30 for the Japanese translation and ~$15 for the UK cover.)
3 c. I need to buy a book cover for the uber-pretty Japanese translation.

4. Only had five hours of half-sleep this morning (criminally low number for me). Kept on having vague dreams/impressions about Nick. And possibly [SPOILERY main antagonist's name].
